Lumpy NiFe Ore about 50,000 mt from Europe
We give below specifications of Lumpy NiFe Ore we are currently quoting from Europe on an indicative price of USD 136/mt CIF your named port basis average min Fe 45% and average min Ni 0.90% but typically Fe 46% to 51% and Ni 0.97% to 1.125%. Please note there are other valuable metal contents like Cr203, Co, MgO etc which should also be considered.
Price Adjustment
A. For Fe / Ni Content
The base price shall be adjusted in accordance with Fe / Ni content as finally determined pursuant to the final analysis basis to be agreed :
(i) The base price shall be decreased by U.S.0.50 for each 1% Fe per DMT in case of Fe below 45% but increased same basis above 50%, fractions pro-rata.
(ii) The base price shall be decreased by U.S. 1.00 for each 0.01% Ni per DMT in case of Ni below 0.90% but increased same basis above 1.10%, fractions pro-rata.
B. Chemical Composition
If the shipment does not meet any of the chemical specifications as per analysis contracted as finally determined, the base price shall be decreased as follows, fractions pro-rata:
(i) For excess of Silica (SiO2)
At the rate of 5(five) U.S. cents per dry metric ton for each 1.00% in excess of 5%.
(ii) For excess of Alumina (Al2O3)
At the rate of 5(five) U.S. cents per dry metric ton for each 1.00% in excess of 4 %.
(iii) For excess of Sulphur (S)
At the rate of 5 (five) U.S. cents per dry metric ton for each 0.010% in excess of 0.07 %.
98% payment has to be made against load port’s independent surveyor’s (like SGS, Alfred Knight, Alex Stewart etc as mutually agreed) analysis report for quality and weight and other normal shipping documents under irrevocable L/C confirmed and payable at London banker’s counter at sight or usance at 2% over Libor for buyer’s account. Shipment could be effected in containers or break-bulk as per shipper’s option / convenience and availability of vessel/space.
On successful completion of first shipment we could look to negotiate similar monthly quantities subject to adjustment for prevailing nickel prices.
We can supply probably 50,000 mt monthly but we want you to have first trial order before committing to the same for long term basis even if it means you blending the same with other higher purity ore or even pure nickel. Please note even if you allow for higher purity ore prices and add additional differential of percentage nickel pricing to our material we feel that the ultimate cost to you of our material will still be much less than your purchase price for higher grade ore.
If you can not use this material if you can guide us to other possible users of this material especially those manufacturers who are manufacturing 202 quality stainless steel products it will be highly appreciated.
