The anticipated Customer Experience Management Africa Summit kicked off yesterday morning at the African Pride 15 on Orange Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. The summit was officially opened by Alan Winde, Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism for the Western Cape. Day one of the summit has already proven to be an industry success as attendees express their excitement and pleasure in participating in the summit.
Day two of the CEM Africa Summit launched with an interactive and heated panel discussion featuring Suzanne Little, Head of Social Media and Social CRM, Quirk and Head of Marketing for the DMMA and Bookmarks; Eddie Moyce, Chief Customer Experience Officer at MTN; Reshmi Maharaj, Head of Customer Experience Management for Altech Autopage; and Thabang Ramogase, Marketing Manager SA at Nando’s. Jesse Green, Managing Director at UbuntuDeal is set to present a topical keynote focusing on privacy and protection in eCommerce; new security breaches and other challenges of eCommerce, data protection, back-up, retention and disaster recovery.
Trudie Broekmann, CPA Specialist and Director at Gunston Attorneys will lead an interactive keynote session on negotiating the legal mine field and addressing the South African Consumer Protection Act, Protection of Information Bill and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act of South Africa.

Dave is set to lead the anticipated keynote entitled ‘The CEM status quo: some provocative questions, observations and proposed changes’.
