Dar es Salaam to host business expo for women

DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA – The Dare to Dream Foundation has joined Vodacom Tanzania and CRDB Bank to host the fifth ‘Economic Women Conference and Business Expo’ which would target all women particularly emerging female entrepreneurs.
The Dare to Dream Foundation’s Administration Officer, Ms Virginia Ndlovu told East African Business Week in Dar es Salaam last week that the forum aimed at building business beyond tomorrow where women come together to learn, share and exchange individual experiences.
“This will work to build networks among the women entrepreneurs that promote the advancement of women in business, leadership and life,” Ms Ndlovu said.
Ms Ndlovu said that they are expecting to horde about 300 women to attend the conference which goes with the them, “Building Business Beyond Tomorrow”.
She said that through the gathering, participants will benefit by listening to accomplish and well-learned panelists as well as gained marketable tools that will teach them on how to turn their passion into a thriving business.
“It will also help women generate ideas, develop concrete skills and make lasting connections to achieve greater success in work and for the future life,” she explained.
This is the fifth forum. “We hope to reach over 10,000 women entrepreneurs in the country in the near future,” she said.
The conference will also feature industry leaders who will talk about global opportunities, business technology, marketing, and financing. The conference targets all women including emerging entrepreneurs who are operating their own small to medium sized businesses.
