MidAmerican-backed CalEnergy sees 25,000 gallon spill at geothermal plant

A power outage at CalEnergy’s 327MW Calipatria facility, which is part owned by MidAmerican, in the US state of California has caused a leakage of about 25,000 gallons of geothermal brine from a wastewater-treatment pond.
