Did you know that nearly half of the world’s entrepreneurs are between the ages of 25 and 44? This is one of the key findings of the GEM 2012 report from Global Entrepreneurship Monitor. The report also found that 25 to 34 year olds demonstrate the highest rates of entrepreneurial activity, in all geographic regions surveyed, including South Africa.
This information is mission-critical for Business Opportunities and Franchise Expo exhibitors, who are directly targeting entrepreneurs.
The expo, which is owned and managed by Thebe Exhibitions and Projects, and presented in partnership with platinum sponsor, Eskom will take place from 12-15 September 2013 at the Coca-Cola Dome in Northriding, Johannesburg.
According to Lynn Chamier, general manager of the Business Opportunities and Franchise Expo, “Knowing the predominant age bracket of your target audience empowers you to customise your exhibit, the information you disseminate and the tone of your one-on-one engagements with expo visitors to accurately, effectively and successfully hit your mark.”
Further research from the MarketingSherpa 2012 Marketing Benchmark Report, demonstrates that trade shows hold the top spot as the most effective Business to Business marketing platform – more effective by far than email marketing, websites, paid search and other marketing initiatives.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Business Opportunities & Franchise Expo and its long-established track record of partnering entrepreneurs with business options that match their passion and expertise. The expo attracts some 270 exhibitors.
Included among the exhibitors are franchisors, established business opportunities, higher learning institutions, business support services and established BEE businesses who come to showcase their products and services to corporate procurement officers with BEE targets to meet.
