Exhibition stand bookings for the first focused PV and solar event for the MENA region, namely GulfSol 2013, have accelerated in the last week as increasing attention gets focused on the sector and the region.
“Following Intersolar in Munich, when there was felt to be a general malaise in the European industry, the mood was certainly one of much needed optimism when it came to the Middle East” says Derek Burston, exhibition director, GulfSol 2013 (www.gulfsol.com) .
“This has led to a surge of enquiries and bookings in the last week leaving us much shorter on available space than we anticipated at this stage, and still with a large number of companies mulling over their ultimate stand size” he said.
“Companies such as Air Liquide , AM engineering , Clean Energy Solutions, Eleron, Gintech , GM Solar, GP III Srl, International Power Supply, JUWI, Rentech, Singulus , Solar Praxis Consultancy , Solvisible , TUV Cert have all confirmed their stands in the last seven days, whilst a further 1,200 sq metres remains in negotiation in with other companies who are just finalising budgets and stand design” he added.
“In fact it has left us with an interesting situation, as we are now having to ask the Dubai World Trade Centre about the possibilities of extra space to accommodate all the enquiries we have” he concluded.
The message is clear: GulfSol 2013, the first focused solar event for the MENA region, has caught the industry’s attention and looks set to be a sell-out.
