Wall St. gains after Fed gives no word on tapering

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Stocks advanced in volatile trading on Wednesday, pushing the S&P 500 to within a few points of 1,700, after the Federal Reserve gave no hint that a reduction in the pace of its bond-buying program is imminent.
