Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Governor of Osun state has vowed not to relent in his current demolition exercise of Osogbo in order to beautify the state.
The governor said this in a forum to break the current fast with journalists, politicians and government officials present at the Government House.
The Governor said he was set on the beautification exercise and nothing would derail him from seeing it through.
He said this in response to a charge made by a journalist, who asked that the demolition exercise have a human face.
Aregbesola responded to the current speculation that the discontent harbored in certain provinces may deny him a second term, saying that he was more concerned with the development of the state more than anything else.
In his statement, he said: “Leave the election to God and let us face the assignment I am here to do. “
He expressed confidence in the support of majority of people in the state, saying he had no need for sympathy.
He said once he was done with the project, there would be none like it, not even in Lagos.
