Cop nabbed for allegedly killing wife

A Cape Town policeman was arrested this morning for allegedly shooting his wife dead, police said.

The constable, stationed at Kuilsriver Police Station, allegedly shot his wife (40) last night at their home during a domestic dispute, said Lt-Col André Traut in a statement.

He fled the scene with his service pistol, he said.

“An immediate investigation led police to a residence in Delft where the member surrendered himself,” he said.

The 37-year old policeman would appear in court soon.
