Local governments want law review on Budget allocations

Local governments want Parliament to revisit the laws on sharing the national Budget between themselves and central government. Through their umbrella body, Uganda Local Government Association (ULGA), the president, Mr Frederick Gume Ngobi, proposed that at least they are allocated 40 per cent of the national cake compared to the current 15 per cent to enable them deliver meaningful services.
