Engineering Tourism Infrastructure Forum for the UNWTO General Assembly

An Tourism Infrastructure and Engineering forum will be held on the 25th of August 2013 as part of the UNWTO General Assembly to be co-hosted by Zambia and Zimbabwe, according to Engineer Martin Manuhwa, President of the Southern Africa Federation of Engineering Organisations.

According to Manuhwa, the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe (ECZ) of which he is Chairperson, is seeking partnership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) and have harnessed the support and co-operation of the World Council of Civil Engineers (WCCE), African Federation of Engineering Organisations (SAFEO) to support the hosting of the forum in Victoria Falls.

“The President of the WCCE has already accepted an invitation to be a special guest of the Engineering Tourism Infrastructure Forum for the UNWTO GA.We require this recognition of the engineering fraternity to the infrastructure development to be the first event of the day before the site visits,” Manuhwa said. Engineering organizations in SADC are expected to attend the event.
