Unemployment in Egypt grew to 13.3% in Q2

Egypt: Egypt’s state-run statistics body CAPMAS has said the country’s jobless rate rose 0.7% in the second quarter of 2013, over the previous quarter of the current year, to 13.3% of the country’s total labour force, Ahram has reported. The number of unemployed increased by 36,000 in Q2 2013 to 3.6 million jobless Egyptians. According to CAPMAS, the number of working Egyptians reached 23.6 million, with the total labour force registering 27.2 million. [AMEInfo.com]
