The Hawks are probing claims that money is being misappropriated from burn victim Pippie Kruger’s foundation.
“A woman came forward with allegations that funds from the foundation are being used to finance her mother’s lifestyle,” spokesperson Captain Paul Ramaloko said today.
No formal criminal case had been opened.

Pippie Kruger sustained third-degree burns when a firelighter gel apparently exploded in her father’s hands on New Year’s Eve in 2011. She was two years old at the time.
Last June she underwent pioneering surgery in which her own cloned skin, grown in a US laboratory, was grafted onto her wounds.
