U.S. soldier behind Afghan massacre to testify at sentencing hearing

TACOMA, Washington (Reuters) – A U.S. soldier who gunned down 16 unarmed Afghan civilians in a nighttime rampage last year plans to testify on Thursday at sentencing proceedings set to decide whether he will ever have a chance at parole, his defense team said.
