Drugs worth millions were found in a suitcase at the OR Tambo International Airport, the Hawks said.

“Yesterday at around 4pm…the police at the airport and customs searched an unclaimed luggage bag containing 20kg of crystal meth worth R56m,” said Captain Paul Ramaloko today.

“When we tried to check who the person was, by that time, the person disappeared.”

No arrests had been made yet.
