Jury asked to decide fate of U.S. soldier who killed 16 Afghans

TACOMA, Washington (Reuters) – A military judge asked a six-member sentencing jury on Friday to decide whether a U.S. soldier who pleaded guilty to murdering 16 unarmed Afghan civilians last year should ever be eligible for parole.
