Gerald Majola has lost his bid to be reinstated as chief executive of Cricket South Africa (CSA).
Majola appeared in the Labour Court in Johannesburg today where the court ruled in favour of CSA, a report on the EWN website indicates.
He was initially suspended following a bonus scandal surrounding the 2009 Indian Premier League tournament.
Majola then turned to the courts in October last year to challenge his suspension and the findings of the Nicholson Commission of Enquiry.
The Nicholson inquiry found Majola had breached the Companies Act by authorising R4.7m in bonuses to be paid to CSA staff without clearance from the CSA board or remuneration committee.
Haroon Lorgat has since been appointed as the new CEO of CSA.
