In its upcoming ‘Technology Week’ to be held in Dubai in October, Gitex, the ICT business gateway to the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia Region, is preparing amongst other things, to arm conglomerates and businesses with technology, systems and processes to optimize information for strategic insight, and to turn big data from a big problem into a big business opportunity.

Launched in 1981, Gitex focuses on providing exhibitors with high return on investment through direct business opportunities with decision makers and has over the years maintained its position as the industry’s trend setting authority.
The four-day event will amongst other things, “provides attendees with invaluable and real-life examples on how to turn Big Data into a true corporate asset, and more importantly, to use it to stay in business; examine how mobile, social networks, big data, and emerging customer touch points are changing the way enterprises and brands engage with customers; provides attendees with a roadmap on how best to exploit revenue opportunities opened up by the digital revolution.”

The event is tipped a window of opportunity for both the public and private sector, as this will serve as a gateway to international business coalition for African businesses.
