EGYPT: JUMIA partners mobile operator Mobinil


Cairo, October 2nd, 2013 – JUMIA, Egypt’s #1 online retailer, celebrates one year anniversary and announces partnership with Mobinil, the Egyptian company for mobile services. -Mobinil providing JUMIA offices and staff with the latest mobile technology solutions which are specially tailored for their business needs.

-JUMIA provides Mobinil with products and services in their 140 retail stores spread all across Egypt.

-JUMIA offering products of Mobinil and telecom products to their customers (i.e. Voice/Data lines, Broadband connectivity devices, smartphones, connectivity data bundles)

-JUMIA offering special gifts for Mobinil customers in the loyalty program

After one year JUMIA Egypt has achieved a double digit growth on a monthly basis to reach a 35-40% market share in e-commerce. The company moved from two small offices in Maadi area to a 3-floor building with warehouse over a space of 1600 m² in “New Cairo” area. Under the theme of “Don’t Follow, Set the Trend”, JUMIA celebrated this occasion with key speakers discussing the development of e-commerce in Egypt – including Dr. Adel Danish, CEO of Smart Village and Ashraf Halim, Mobinil VP Commercial.
