Mali’s mining & petroleum industry, business as usual

The Ministry of Mines, Republic of Mali in association with AME Trade Ltd & DMC Africa organise the Republic of Mali’s mining and petroleum conference and exhibition taking place from 12th – 14th November 2013Les Journées Minières et Pétrolières du Mali (JMP).

JMP is already an established event in the worldwide mining and petroleum business calendar, it has been organised on a biannual basis since 2005. In 2011 it featured over 700 delegates, 70 exhibiting companies and over 50 presentations were delivered. The event was held under the High Patronage of His Excellency, the President of Mali and was inaugurated by the Prime Minister.

JMP 2013 will consist of conference sessions, workshops and a trade exhibition. The participants will have a chance to join technical visits of some of the Mali’s major mining operations. Despite a backdrop of vacillating and turbulent political situation, Mali’s mining industry is going from strength to strength: gold mining has been largely unaffected by recent turmoil, Mali is diversifying its mining industry to include bauxite, uranium and iron ore potentialities and a new modern mining code was introduced in September 2012. With this in mind the main theme of JMP 2013 will be Mali’s mining & petroleum industry, business as usual!
