A.M. BestTV: Emerging Markets Central to Lloyd’s Growth Vision


OLDWICK, N.J., December 9, 2013—In this episode of A.M. BestTV, Vincent Vandendael, director of Lloyd’s international markets, discusses plans to transform the platform into “the global market of choice for specialist insurance and reinsurance,” through expansion into emerging economies, and how that would impact traditional operations. Vandendael, speaking from Lloyd’s headquarters in London, talks about how essential to that vision is the necessity to widen global talent from its largely English-speaking base to accommodate foreign markets. Vandendael said the anticipated GDP growth rates in emerging BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) make them highly desirable.
