South-Africa’s fashion e-commerce leader gives its UI a facelift
Cape Town, 25th February 2014 – ZANDO, South-Africa’s leading online fashion store announced the reinvention of its user interface (UI). Zando redesigned its UI to offer a richer shopping experience, driven by a constantly growing customer base and an average of 1.5 million unique visitors a month.
Zando uses a responsive, mobile device-friendly approach to enable its customers to shop with even greater ease for the latest trends, while maintaining the essential parts of the old Zando.co.za UI design. The new appearance was built from scratch, with a focus on a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience for every user.
“The new UI has been designed to look simplistic, with the introduction of a flat redesign of all navigation elements on the site, such as buttons and drop down menus. Our recent investment into our website does not only underline our position as the leading fashion destination, but also allows us to further accelerate our growth in the thriving e-commerce industry”, says Zando’s Managing Director Sascha Breuss.
The result of the redesign is a more product-focused appearance, which allows the customer to gain a greater insight into the look and feel of Zando’s products. Furthermore, it also enables the visitors to browse through the product portfolio quicker since the loading time and the total amount of elements that appear with every page request, were drastically reduced.
Some highlights to look out for in Zando’s new UI:
A redesigned banner concept for the homepage, supporting various screen resolutions (including smart phones) The new design of the landing pages for the main product categories (Men, Women, Kids, Sports, Home and Beauty) with a new banner concept A top category navigation to promote the bestselling categories A switch between 3 / 4 products on the product listing page An improved checkout process
