Pam Golding to host 2nd Annual Mozambique Real Estate Conference in Maputo

The 2nd Annual Mozambique Real Estate Conference, hosted by Pam Golding Mozambique, will take place on May 21-22, 2014 at the Indy Village Congress Hotel & Spa, Maputo.

Once again, the key players in Mozambique’s real estate industry will gather to share investment opportunities, experiences and challenges in this fast-growing, ever-changing sector.

The inaugural conference was a sell-out, drawing over 175 participants, from developers and investors to agents, finance institutions, government bodies, legal, tax and investment advisors, architects, construction firms, engineers and real estate consultants. The 2014 programme will build on this success, addressing themes such as emerging investment opportunities, projects in the pipeline, market trends and forecasts, legal and tax issues and financing structures, as well as new topics including real estate investment developments in Northern and Central Mozambique, and opportunities in the retail, tourism and hospitality sectors.

Dr. Andrew Golding, Group Chief Executive of Pam Golding, will be the Guest Keynote Speaker. Other speakers include senior representatives from AfrAsia Bank, African Century, Couto, Graça & Associados, Dominio Capital, Eaglestone, ENH Logistics, Lonhro Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Prime Yield MZ, Pylos Africa, RANI Investment, REC, SCP Africa, Standard Bank, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, StrongEagle, the World Bank, and others.

According to Gonçalo Marques, Manager of Pam Golding Mozambique, “the market continues to grow, and new players are sizing up opportunities within Maputo and also other provinces in Mozambique, stimulated by infrastructure investments and mega projects. We look forward to offering once again a forum for honest and open discussion, sharing the successes, opportunities and challenges faced by both new and established investors.”
