Today sees the launch of Offline Mail 7.0, an email app for iPhone and iPad that offers “lightning quick” search even when you don’t have an internet connection.
Offline Mail downloads years of email and then uses Google search algorithms to make it available at the touch of a button. It is set to become a vital tool for those who rely on email access, especially in emerging markets where cellular connectivity can be sporadic and data costs prohibitive.
Developer Will Ryan from Electric Labs said “”We were so frustrated with Apple Mail which has appalling search capability, often struggling to find email with even the most basic of search terms.”
“Offline Mail is one of those go to apps when you find yourself in a sticky situation, perhaps trying to find your boarding pass at an international airport or desperately searching for that important email from your boss that they sent a few weeks back.”
Offline Mail can sync multiple email accounts, and can even automatically download your email in the background when you arrive at home or the office meaning you always have the latest emails synced. The app also supports an optional added layer of password protection to the app for those that require added security.
Offline Mail supports Gmail, Yahoo! Mail and other IMAP mail providers and is available for £1.49/$2.99 on the Apple App Store.
