Teraco remains a hub for global players connecting to over 55 countries

Launched two years ago, the Africa Cloud eXchange (ACX) from Teraco Data Centre Environments now provides access to 54 African countries via local and global carriers. New research, conducted by the African Institute of Race Relations, shows that Africa is in need of generating capacity the size of Medupi and Kusile every decade in order to continuously supply energy to the entire country. It is therefore in Africa’s best interest to invest in renewable energy projects, such as hybrid renewable energy systems, which will lessen the pressure on the national grid and create a sustainable supply of energy for the country read more

IMF Executive Board Approves US$5-Billion Arrangement for Morocco Under the Precautionary and Liquidity Line

RABAT, Morocco, July 29, 2014/African Press Organization (APO)/ — The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today approved a new 24-month arrangement for Morocco under the Precautionary and Liquidity Line (PLL) in an amount equivalent to SDR 3.2351 billion (about US$5 billion, or 550 percent of Morocco’s quota at the IMF). The access under the arrangement in the first year will be equivalent to SDR 2.941 billion (about US$4.5 billion, 500 percent of quota), rising in the second year to a cumulative US$5.0 billion.
