Egypt first step for Kcal within ambitious global expansion plans

Dubai,UAE: Following the recent announcement of its growth plans, Kcal, the Dubai-headquartered Healthy Fast Food brand, has quickly moved into the first step of its ambitious expansion target.

December 2014 will see the brand open its first flagship outlet in Egypt, ahead of a rollout that will encompass 14 branches within the country. “Egypt is an important market for us” said Mark Carroll, Kcal’s co-founder, “and we are keen to replicate abroad the model we successfully developed throughout the UAE. We could not have selected a better time for our introduction to Egypt’s consumers, as the country has resumed its march forward on the path to recovery”.

 

The brain-child of Mark Carroll and Andreas L Borgmann, two passionate and dynamic entrepreneurs, Kcal quickly rose to prominence within the industry, delivering on what customers were looking for. Breaking away from the traditional fast-food offerings, Kcal’s platform is a radical change that has seen customers embrace enthusiastically the wide selection of calorie-controlled healthy fast food available on their appealing menu, either in their outlet network or through Kcal Extra, the parallel bespoke delivery service business pillar, presently serving thousands of meals per week.

 

“We know Egyptian consumers will embrace our healthy nutrition, healthy living philosophy” highlighted Andreas L Borgman, Kcal co-founder, adding, “this significant expansion step will soon be replicated throughout the region as we intent to bring our message and our offer globally”.

 

In further comments, the co-founders have indicated that 2015 should see Kcal open franchises in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Jordan, ahead of further announcements.
