Financial close reached on £450 million worth of wind farm developments in South Africa

Financial closure of over £450 million worth of wind farm developments were announced Friday as part of the government drive to diversify South Africa’s Renewable Energy Mix. The projects, based in the Northern Cape consist of 280 MW in Khobab and Loeriesfontein 2 with an additional 80MW situated at Noupoort in Umsobomvu. read more

Vaninga, a subsidiary of Athlone Investments Limited (ATLN:TA), currently undergoing a brand change to APIO, is pleased to announce that it has received a Letter of Intent from Business Connexion (BCX) securing a three year deal for the provision of data centre services in Mozambique valued at between $US4m and $US5m over the term of the proposed agreement. BCX’s commitment effectively accounts for all of the capacity of the first phase of the modular data centre, currently under construction and due for completion by the end of February 2015 with services beginning mid-March 2015. read more
