2015 Infrastructure Africa Business Forum to take place in September

Dates announced for Africa’s premier regional infrastructure event

2nd March, Johannesburg – The fourth annual Infrastructure Africa Business Forum (IABF) is set to take place on the 1st and 2nd of September 2015 in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Drawing infrastructure heavyweights and decision makers from across the African continent, Infrastructure Africa is positioned to foster intra-African trade relations and investment opportunities between the continent’s private and public sectors.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Access to business opportunities in Infrastructure”.

“With Infrastructure Africa entering its fourth year, we have established the conference as a not-to-be-missed calendar event for both those in the public and private sectors of the African built environment space. We have added exciting new dimensions to the 2015 programme and are looking forward to building on the contingent of delegates from the African continent with the aim of deepening regional connections and cooperation,” says Liz Hart, Managing Director of Infrastructure Africa.

With the continent’s Programme for Infrastructure Development (PIDA) in the spotlight and South Africa’s own infrastructure build programme rolling out until 2030, business and government representatives are expected to congregate to Johannesburg to find ways of fast-tracking the enormous growth potential in Africa’s infrastructure sectors by providing a leadership and networking platform for those in the continent’s infrastructure space.

Key aspects to be covered at the 2015 event will be actual opportunities within infrastructure projects in Africa and how business can access these opportunities, what financing mechanisms are available, guidance on project preparation and industry sector access, to name a few.

The Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development is the event’s strategic partner, responsible for infrastructure development in Gauteng and its founding partner is the NEPAD Planning & Coordinating Agency (NPCA), custodians of the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA).  Both partners provide ample opportunity for business to participate and explore opportunities to access projects.
