IMF and World Bank Announce US$1.1 billion Debt Relief for Chad

Equatorial Guinea scores multiple investment agreements with Chinese companies at Economic Forum in Dalian

During a historic visit to China the Government of Equatorial Guinea, represented by the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Energy (http://www.equatorialoil.com), has announced the signing of multiple memoranda of understanding on April 30 with Chinese companies covering large areas of cooperation in the electricity and industrial sectors. The agreements were made during the Equatorial Guinea-Asia Economic Forum, hosted by the Government of Equatorial Guinea at the Shangri-La Hotel, in Dalian. The economic forum was organized in Dalian to introduce investment opportunities in Equatorial Guinea to Chinese companies. read more

Le Malawi prend des mesures essentielles pour promouvoir les paiements numériques et stimuler une croissance inclusive

Aujourd’hui, le Malawi a fait un pas important vers la création d’un écosystème de paiement numérique, en vue de lutter contre la pauvreté et de stimuler la croissance inclusive. Un événement organisé par le gouvernement du Malawi en coopération avec les initiatives « Better Than Cash Alliance » (http://www.betterthancash.org) et « Argent mobile pour les pauvres » du Fonds d’équipement des Nations Unies (United Nations Capital Development Fund, UNCDF) a réuni les acteurs des paiements numériques afin d’accélérer la progression des services financiers numériques au Malawi. Cette réunion marque également la publication d’une analyse approfondie de la volonté du pays à passer d’une économie reposant presque exclusivement sur l’argent comptant à une économie au sein de laquelle les paiements numériques sont largement disponibles par le biais d’une approche écosystémique.
