AGCO launches video contest for next AGCO Africa Ambassador


Young African entrepreneurs are called to participate

AGCO (NYSE: AGCO), a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural machinery and solutions, just launched its annual video contest for the next AGCO Africa Ambassador. The company calls young African entrepreneurs with sustainable agribusiness concepts or innovative ideas that could help to develop the agricultural sector in Africa in an inclusive way. The winner of the video contest will become the next AGCO Africa Ambassador and represent African youth as the host of the fifth AGCO Africa Summit “Agribusiness in Africa – Inclusive and Sustainable Growth” which will take place in Berlin, Germany, on January 18, 2016.

As well as hosting the AGCO Africa Summit (http://agco-africa-summit.com), the next AGCO Ambassador will further represent AGCO at the International Green Week trade show (January 15 – 24, 2016) in Berlin, Germany, and at several other events. The contest runs from August 28 to October 30, 2015. Winners will be announced on November 27, 2015. Entrants are asked to create a video of themselves outlining their original business idea for inclusive and sustainable growth in Africa and explaining why they should become the next AGCO Africa Ambassador. AGCO has created the AGCO Africa Summit as a platform for international dialogue promoting agricultural development and mechanisation in Africa. This year the Summit emphasizes sustainable and inclusive agriculture.
