Kenya ratifies Trade Facilitation Agreement in advance of Nairobi Ministerial Conference

Kenya has ratified the new Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA), less than a week before it hosts an important high-level WTO trade meeting. The WTO Secretariat received Kenya’s instruments of acceptance on 10 December. read more

IMF Executive Board Completes Eighth Extended Credit Facility Review for Côte d’Ivoire and Approves US$67.7 Million Disbursement

The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today completed the eighth and last review under the Extended Credit Facility (ECF)1 Arrangement for Côte d’Ivoire. The completion of the review enables the immediate release of SDR 48.78 million (about US$67.7 million), bringing total disbursements under the ECF arrangement to SDR 520.32 million (about US$722.2 million). read more

EBRD and its partners strengthens safety and environmental standards in Egypt’s energy sector

For the first time in the southern and eastern Mediterranean (SEMED) region the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) led and arranged a syndicated loan, consisting of a loan facility of up to US$170 million to Advanced Energy Systems SAE (ADES), an independent Egyptian oil services company. read more
