The Inter African Coffee Organisation (IACO) has received financing from the African Development Bank under The Nigerian Technical Cooperation Fund toward the cost of the study for Revitalization of Inter- African Coffee Organisation (IACO): Preparation of the 2017-2022 Strategy and Institutional Review, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for Preparation of the 2017–2022 Strategy and Institutional Review.
The Consultant firm is required to prepare a New Strategy and carry out an Institutional Review for IACO.
The selected firm should have sound expertise and strong experience in:
– Strategies and policies of International development Organization (regional, sub-regional, continental, world) with special emphasis on commodity based organizations;
– Economics/Finance/Human Resources;
– Financial management of international, regional and sub-regions organizations;
– Strong knowledge of the African commodity markets including Coffee, cocoa, rubber, tea, etc.
– English and French proficiencies as the two working languages of IACO;

The Inter African Coffee Organisation (IACO) now invites eligible consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Individual consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” May 2008 revised July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
