South Africa’s key automation and industrial control event, Africa Automation Fair, will this year host a high-level conference on Connected Industries in line with growing international focus on the ‘The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the advanced, connected industries of the future.
The new cycle of Innoventures has been launched after a successful third cycle which held a grand finale last December. The fourth cycle of the accelerator program ‘Startup Reactor’ is now accepting applications in partnership with VC4A and comes along with the launching of a new 30 million EGP venture capital fund.The program creates an environment to connect entrepreneurs, investors and mentors for a duration of six months. Participating investors and mentors will receive an equity stake in the ventures which they choose to support. Ethiopia had the milestone on the tourism sector, signing a major deal with AccorHotels group to open over 500 rooms in Addis Ababa; the biggest diplomatic base of the continent.
The award-winning event, Agritech Expo Zambia, is presented by the Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU) and returns to Chisamba for the fourth edition from 27-29 April 2017. “Zambia is an exciting market to explore, not just for South African suppliers to the agriculture sector, but also for South African farmers” says Liam Beckett, commercial director for the upcoming Agritech Expo Zambia.
