Axiz adds Magic to Its Software Portfolio

On 27 September 2017 Axiz introduced the latest addition to its software portfolio – Magic Software Enterprises Ltd., a global provider of end-to-end integration and application development solutions. The partnership will see Magic Software’s connectivity solutions distributed to enterprises in South Africa and neighbouring countries including Mauritius, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Mozambique.

Jacques Malherbe, Axiz CTO and Managing Executive of Advanced Technologies, is very excited about bringing Axiz and Magic together. “We are moving into a software world and nobody knows this better than us. Everything is moving to the Cloud and the world is becoming software defined. We are seeing the data centre being taken apart with a part of it becoming the public cloud and a part of it going to the private sector, resulting in a hybrid environment. We also see more requests coming our way to integrate software applications and make them more user friendly. Data shows us that the User Experience translates directly into value.”

According to Malherbe, digital interaction is important to Axiz when dealing with its customers and as a result the partnership with Magic is the most natural next step. “Our software business is very strong so we look forward to taking this product forward to our customer base, as part of our portfolio.”

With over 100 pre-built connectors to leading applications and technologies, Magic xpi Integration Platform enables organisations to transform their businesses by connecting and mobilising any combination of legacy and cloud-based systems to create innovative business processes. The metadata-based Magic xpa Application Platform provides a highly-productive and cost-effective development and deployment environment that lets organisations and independent software vendors create mobile and desktop business apps quickly and easily.

“Information technology is one of the most critical technologies that can affect economic growth in Africa”, said Udi Ertel, President of the Software Solutions Division at Magic Software Enterprises. “The partnership with Axiz is an exciting and strategic opportunity to work with a strong distribution company that understands how to identify and deliver a value added service to their partners. With the advanced technology for application development and integration provided by Magic Software this will be a “win-win” partnership.”

According to Ertel, there is a number of enterprise customers who have legacy technology but want to modernise it and this is where Magic, in conjunction with Axiz, will come in. “Our low-code, easy-to-use solutions can jump start digital transformation and enable African companies to experience the benefits of automation to create a unique competitive advantage.”

Magic Software’s integration and application development solutions will be available to the channel through Axiz, with their cloud solution soon to be launched as well.
