New Pricing Agreement will offer Antiretrovirals at $75/person/year

Through a strong collaboration and joint efforts, South African Government together with the Government of Kenya, and other key players including USAID, UNITAID, UK DFID, UNAIDS, PEPFAR, CHAI, among others, have agreed to a new price which offers antiretrovirals at $75/person/year. Announced by South Africa’s Minister of Health, the move is to enable low and middle income nations to provide antiretroviral therapy to patients. The new affordable price is expected to increase the accessibility of the treatment while increasing the global task to provide for the known 36.7million people living with HIV. read more
