Have you heard about LeAD Campus, the executive-level training programme for outstanding African professionals committed to the sustainability of the continent? LeAD Campus offers a unique opportunity and meeting point for African executives from English and French-speaking countries to develop their vision, their skills, and their professional projects to support Africa’s sustainable growth. Currently, 35 entrepreneurs and executive managers from the public and private sector are being recruited to join this innovative programme.
The University of Cape Town (UCT) is an academic partner of the LeAD Campus programme
The University of Cape Town is one of the four academic partners of the programme (along with the Higher Institute of Management (ISM) of Dakar, Sciences Po Executive Education and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD)). The Graduate School of Development Policy and Practice at UCT is well-regarded for its academic and professional training and forums focused on promoting strategic leadership in Africa. The LeAD Campus programme kicks off with the “My Leadership” training module in April 2018 in Cape Town, one of Africa’s most dynamic cities.
Target new markets, strengthen networks across the continent.
LeAD Campus is currently recruiting the next cohort of 35 talented individuals who will take part in the programme and will benefit from the programme’s uniquely African perspective, with two of the three modules training delivered in Africa, namely South Africa (Cape Town) and Senegal (Dakar). LeAD Campus’s ambition is to inspire, to challenge and to give participants the opportunity to strengthen their vision and reflect on their practices and the impact of their professional activity. LeAD Campus assists participants to move beyond their individual experiences (and markets) so as to create a collective dynamic through new networks that can move the continent forward!
To overcome cultural barriers, to share experiences
The LeAD Campus programme reflects the cultural diversity of the African continent: In 2016, professionals representing 21 different nationalities participated in the programme. LeAD Campus builds bridges amongst and between African countries along with creating new professional networks through its mentorship component (each participant works with a Mentor) and through the many speakers –academics, experts, inspiring leaders – who lecture on the programme.
