These prestigious accolades highlight his commitment to using finance as a force for positive social change while honoring his Kuwaiti heritage.
As Chairman of the WeCare Foundation, Saad Kassis-Mohamed has led initiatives that have deployed millions of dollars to critical projects in underserved communities worldwide. Under his leadership, WeCare has pioneered solutions in renewable energy, education, and economic empowerment. One of its standout projects includes funding lab-grown diamond research and development, reflecting a strong commitment to ethical sourcing and sustainable innovation.

WeCare Foundation has deployed $5 million in funding to support key projects across Central Africa. In Sudan, where infrastructure, healthcare, and education challenges persist, the foundation has launched a series of innovative initiatives aimed at building lasting improvements.

Among the foundation’s major projects are the Darfur Water Renewal Project, which installs solar-powered water purification systems in remote regions of Sudan, improving access to clean drinking water and reducing the spread of waterborne diseases. Meanwhile, the Blue Nile Renewable Energy Initiative is establishing solar-powered mini-grids to supply rural communities with sustainable, reliable energy, promoting both environmental stewardship and energy independence.
