The Africa Tech Summit Awards has announced the 55 finalists for its inaugural 2025 edition, recognizing individuals and companies making a significant impact in the African tech space.
The winners will be revealed during an exclusive ceremony on February 13th, held as part of the 7th annual Africa Tech Summit Nairobi. The summit will take place on February 12th and 13th, 2025, drawing over 2,000 industry leaders and more than 1,000 companies for a dynamic platform focused on networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.
The awards will honor achievements across 11 industry categories and two individual categories, showcasing the innovators and leaders who are shaping the future of Africa’s tech sector while tackling the continent’s most pressing challenges. The 55 finalists were chosen from over 300 submissions. A panel of independent judges assessed each entry based on criteria such as innovation, impact, scalability, and relevance to Africa’s unique market needs.
Lauren Adair, Director of Africa Tech Summit, shared her excitement: “We are thrilled to reveal the finalists for the first-ever Africa Tech Summit Awards. With such a competitive pool of over 300 entries, our judges had a challenging task in selecting just five finalists per category. Each of these finalists is playing a vital role in transforming their respective industries and driving growth across Africa, and we can’t wait to celebrate their achievements in Nairobi next month.”
