Kenyan safari company Saruni Basecamp has earned B Corp Certification, strengthening its focus on conservation, community empowerment and responsible tourism across East Africa.
Saruni Basecamp, a collection of 13 safari camps and lodges in Kenya, has become a Certified B Corporation, joining a growing group of African businesses that have undergone independent assessment of their social and environmental performance.
The certification was announced on 10 August 2026 and was awarded by B Lab, the nonprofit organisation behind the B Corp movement.

B Corp Certification evaluates a company’s impact across areas including governance, workers, community, environment and customers. The assessment is designed to measure how a business operates and how it balances commercial objectives with social and environmental responsibilities.
