Energy Conference & Exhibition focused on sub-Saharan Africa to provide Global Technology for Local Solutions

With under three weeks to go before the inaugural POWER-GEN Africa, it has been announced that the event has secured the participation of Engr. Reynolds Bekinbo Dagogo-Jack, Chairman of the Board of the Presidential Task Force on Power (PTFP) of Nigeria, to deliver an Opening Keynote address at the joint opening of POWER-GEN Africa and the co-located Renewable Energy World Africa on 6 November 2012.
Engr. Reynolds Bekinbo Dagogo-Jack is the recently appointed Chairman of the Board of the Presidential Task Force on Power (PTFP), and a member of the Presidential Action Committee on Power (PACP). Prior to his appointment as the Chairman of the PTFP by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on September 5, 2012, Engr. Dagogo-Jack served as the Senior Special Assistant to the President & later as the Senior Performance Monitor (SPM) for the National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP) on the PTFP. He is a foundation member of the PTFP from its inception in June 2010.
Engr. Reynolds Bekinbo Dagogo-Jack joins a Keynote line-up that includes the South African Minister of Energy, Ms. Elizabeth Dipuo Peters, and which will be part of a grand opening to this informative and innovative industry event.

After the Opening Keynote on Tuesday 6 November, a Joint Plenary Panel Discussion will take place, open to all registered event delegates. This will be held under the topic of “Powering Africa’s Growth – The Energy Challenge Ahead”, this session includes speakers from Alstom, Siemens and Andritz Hydro.
