IAMGOLD Fatality in Burkina Faso, West Africa

TORONTO, Nov., 2012 /PRNewswire/ – IAMGOLD Corporation (“IAMGOLD” or the “Company”) regrets to report that a gardener employed at our exploration office in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, drowned on November 1, 2012.

The Company immediately notified all relevant government authorities and other stakeholders in Burkina Faso and is reviewing its safety precautions across the Company for its care and maintenance workers.

The thoughts of management in Burkina Faso and throughout the company are with the family, friends and co-workers of the deceased.
