UCT Graduate School of Business is the best in Africa

A report released this week showed that by a vote of its international peers, the UCT Graduate School of Business (UCT GSB) has been rated the top business school in Africa at the 5th Eduniversal World Convention of the Best Business Schools, held from 17 to 19 October in Lima, Peru. "This is the fifth time that the UCT GSB has walked away with top honours at the event, five Palmes. Five Palmes go to business schools with major international influence. Standard Bank, Microsoft and Samsung partnership

  Standard Bank South Africa, Samsung and Microsoft have partnered to give Standard Bank South Africa customers first option on Samsung's new Ativ tablets, running the brand new Microsoft Windows 8 operating system - prior to the availability of the device in the mainstream market. The announcement coincides with the worldwide launch of the highly anticipated Windows 8 operating system. Launches were held in New York and South Africa on 25 October. Joburg and Standard Bank in new banking partnership

  Standard Bank South Africa has beaten four banks in a tender bid to partner with the City of Joburg. The participating banks were subject to the same rules and requirements, in line with the prevailing legislation, the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA). The City had utilised the services of one of the big four audit and consultancy firms to ensure that the process was transparent and fair to all participants. Zimbabwe to establish new power projects by 2013

  by Wallace Mawire Zimbabwe's Ministry of Energy and Power Development has announced new projects to be implemented in 2013 to boost power capacity. Minister Elton Mangoma told delegates at the second edition of the ZimBuild2012 infrastructure financing summit of the proposed initiatives. He said that his ministry has achieved in coming up with a legal and institutional framework to improve generation capacity. "The establishment of an independent regulator, the Zimbabwe Electricity Regulatory Authority (ZERA) is to facilitate a cost reflective tariff policy which is in line with SADC dictates," Mangoma said. NEW UK ROAD REPAIR COMPANY TARGETS AFRICA
