Airtel splash out over K14 million in promotion

With the commitment to change the lives of its subscribers, Airtel Malawi is has given away various prizes in the Yabooka SMS promotion amounting to over K14 million, according to the company’s Data Manager Frank.

The promotion, which has seen the number of subscribers rising each and every day, is an extension to the Yabooka promotion which nine lucky winners won brand news Toyota Hilux vehicles and one walking away with the grand prize of a K38 million Prado.

Magombo said the company is committed to changing people’s lives in the country by introducing top class telecommunication solutions and promotions unmatched by any service provider.

“Airtel believes in empowering Malawians by coming up with meaningful promotions whose prizes change their lives. We conduct promotions that impact positively on people’s lives and it is for that reason that the response from people has always been high,” said Magombo.

Magombo said following the success of the Yabooka mega promotion, the country’s leading telecom decided to increase the number of people winning in Airtel Yabooka by introducing the SMS promotion to the tune of K29 million.

Every week until October, the company which has just been named the best telecommunication company in the country by MACRA will be splashing out over K1 million to about eleven subscribers, according to Magombo.

To enter the promotion, Airtel subscribers send an SMS written PATA to 50009. After registering they answer simple questions as a way of increasing their chances of winning these huge sums of money. One Airtel customer is carting home K100 000 every day.

“This is a game and as is the case with any game, the more you play the more you create your chances of winning,” he said.

At the end of the promotion one lucky winner will win K5 million cash as the grand prize.
